The West Hollywood project off Santa Monica Boulevard, a 1.3-acre project site consists of three parcels: 7155 Santa Monica Boulevard, 7141 Santa Monica Boulevard, and 1107 and 1117 Detroit Street. It is developed with a sound editing studio and a metal plating facility. The project evaluated in the Draft EIR was a Specific Plan proposing to demolish the existing site structures and construct up to 130 residential units and approximately 9,000 square feet of commercial uses (i.e.,retail/restaurant/banking).
Gergen Construction completed the Waterproofing and Gas Vapor Barrier, utilizing CETCO Coreflex‐60, a welded thermoplastic membrane combined with an active polymer core designed to handle methane, VOCs and hydrostatic conditions.
This system wraps parts of the concrete slab and all the vertical lagging walls. The P-1 slab will utilize the CETCO Liquid Boot500 Plus system, which is a spray applied barrier combined with a EVOH layer. The Liquid Boot500 Plus system is specifically designed to handle subslab emissions of VOC vapors and holds approvals with various government agencies for this use. It has been used extensively throughout Los Angeles, and has a Research Report Approval by LADBS.
